Ramadan Hayit is the celebration of spiritual and moral purification. It falls on the 9th month of Hijri year of the Islamic calendar. The holiday marks the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of fasting during the entire month of Ramadan.

From dawn to sunset the fasting person should not eat and drink, they should avoid bad thoughts, respect neighbors and make good deeds. Fasting during this month is obligatory for every Muslim; it helps him to strengthen his faith and teaches self-discipline. Only seriously ill people, children, people, who are at that moment on the road are allowed not to observe the fasting.

The last day of fasting is spent in celebrations – Eid-al-Fitr. It lasts for three days. The first day of the holiday is the day-off in the country.
