"Aeroflot" starts flights to Samarkand


From 16 January 2015 the Russian airline "Aeroflot" opens its own regular flights on the route Moscow-Samarkand-Moscow.

"Aeroflot" plans to carry out flights to Samarkand once a week from Terminal D of Sheremetyevo Airport in modern comfortable liners Airbus A320 », -reports the airline.

SU1874 flight takes off from Moscow on Friday at 22:55 pm, Arrives in Samarkand at 04:55 am. The return flight - SU1875 departs from Samarkand on Saturday at 06:25 am, arrives in Moscow at 08:50 am (Local time).

Samarkand is the second largest city in Uzbekistan and one of the oldest in the world. The city is an important tourist center, the bearer of ancient traditions and the largest historical landmark. Since 2001, Samarkand has been on the list of World Heritage Cities of mankind, writes UzDaily.

"The opening of the route line to Samarkand is fully consistent with the strategy of "Aeroflot", which provides for the development of transport in the CIS as one of the priorities. Thus, the airline further contributes to the integration processes between Russia and these countries, "- reports the airline.
